Witnesses were stunned, startled, aghast, taken aback, stupefied...
Words do matter. An ill-timed word can wound forever. That’s one reason Paul wrote, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone”(Col. 4:6.)
